Professional Experience:
Originally drafted by the Denver Broncos in 1989, he went on to play for the Seattle Seahawks (1989) and World League's Montreal Machine (1991) before finishing his playing career with the NFL's Pittsburgh Steelers (1991-94). During his stint in Pittsburgh, Shelton served as that club's special teams captain in '92-'93.

College Experience:
A native of Marietta, Ga., Shelton attended Liberty (VA) University where he earned All-America honors as a football player and a bachelor of science degree in sociology.
